The University of Bedfordshire has a wide range of CPD training courses and have developed a regional reputation for providing flexible high quality CPD courses for Social Workers based on cutting edge knowledge from research and best practice. We work with many local employers in the region and value the relationship we have developed with them.

We have strong collaborative relationships with employers and are keen to ensure that our courses meet the needs of the social work workforce and engaged in building relationships to ensure that our courses are relevant, evidenced based and of a high quality.

We are happy to discuss with employers any requirements that they may have and are involved in new developments to ensure that our courses remain current.

Talking to our social workers undertaking the PQ programme, they have highlighted that they have been both intellectually stretched and feel more able to link theory to practice. I have personally been given numerous examples where social workers have been able to identify where their practice has developed considerably as a direct result of the their experiences on the PQ programme. This positive feedback is a direct result of the PQ team at the university being receptive to our needs as an employer of social workers, and of the views of the social workers themselves.
