Cephas Kpeli
Lecturer in Health & Social Care
I took up my position as Lecturer in Health and Social Care since February 2019 at the University of Bedfordshire and I have been enjoying developing my student’s critical thinking to link public health and nursing (mental health). Before taking the teaching role at the University of Bedfordshire I have been teaching health promotion and public health in University of East London. My research interests lie in the care and management of clients with mental health issues. Similarly using non pharmacological intervention to manage aggressive behaviour of dementia clients.
Prior to joining academia, I had trained and practiced as a mental health nurse and public health Practitioner within the hospital and community settings. Over this period I have acquired broad and deep knowledge of the healthcare and public health skills to promote good health services and wellbeing.
