Mark Kane

Lecturer In Applied Social Sciences (Health and Social Care)

I have been teaching numerous vocational and academic courses in health and social care for over a decade and centre my teaching on enabling students to have the capabilities to respond to the current and emerging health and social care needs of communities prone to poor health outcomes.

I am responsive in my teaching approach, adapting and changing my lessons to the needs and preferences of my learners.

I very much believe in the importance of students being the co-creators in the content and delivery of their teaching, so they can develop the leadership, research, and critical thinking to make a real difference in their future roles in health and social care.
