What's feedback?

Dear Student,

Your experience of learning and teaching is central to your studies here at the University of Bedfordshire Business School. Listening to student feedback is one of the ways we can ensure that you have the best experience possible. We are aware, for example, that quality, timely feedback is crucial and we want to help you to make the best use of the feedback your lecturers and tutors provide. Feedback, however, is much more than the comments you receive on completed assignments.

You will see a Powerpoint presentation below which will enable you to recognise many other valuable opportunities for feedback which are present throughout your entire learning experience. It not only helps you to identify feedback opportunities but also the ways in which you can engage with it, and actively use feedback to improve your learning.

In the coming weeks and months you will no doubt start to see teaching staff use some of these pages in class, highlighting the kinds of feedback you can expect to be able to identify in that particular unit or class.
