Students presenting their ideas to businesses at Bedford Heights
This department runs two general undergraduate business programmes, Business Studies at our Luton campus and Business Management in Bedford. We also run the full-time MBA and the Executive MBA courses. Our specialist programmes reflect the depth of expertise in our Masters courses in Project Management, Information Systems Management, Sustainability Management and Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
We use a wide range of teaching spaces for classes from the University's new Postgraduate and CPD Centre to our innovative and purpose built Business Pods Designed to be like real offices, they embody our practice-based vision and provide a stimulating learning environment for undergraduates engaged in real business projects. Our Bedford campus also has purpose built business space in their Business Practice Lab designed for intensive team working and interaction with business practitioners and the projects they bring to us.
To deliver a practice-based education we have a range of staff: some bring the academic rigour and theory which are essential to sound and insightful business practice, others – including our Professors in Management Practice – have a depth of experience in management and take it right into the classroom for students. Finally, we have staff with real depth in teaching and learning who bring research and imagination to the development of our courses. In combination, these people are here to make a real difference to your future.
Our staff are engaged in research and scholarship in business management, information systems, e-Business, human resource management, leadership, project management, supply chain management and logistics.
