Loraine Lee, Senior Lecturer

Loraine Lee is a Senior Lecturer in the Business Systems Division. Formerly she was a Course Manager for BA Business Studies.

Loraine is a member of the three person team who developed the new innovative, Pod based, core curriculum for the Business School. 

Prior to her retirement Loraine was a unit coordinator for Finance for Business (level 1), Business and Economic Forecasting (level 3), Operations Management (level 3) and Operations Management MSc and MBA.

For several years she acted as a Senior Academic Advisor for Luton Business School.

Industrial and Commercial Experience

Loraine has 20 years of extensive experience of IT applications for forecasting and financial analysis in the UK Oil Industry.

  • 2000 - Conference paper "Collaborative Projects - Luton and Khabarovsk" Khabarovsk State Academy of Economics and Law
  • 2000 - Development of a data-based Time Writing system for Gaz de France(GDF)
  • 1998-99 - Design and development of a data-based Joint Venture Accounting system and Purchase Order system for Interconnector plc. (The exploration arm of British Gas)
  • 1990-96 - Design and development of a data-based Joint Venture Accounting system for Cairn Energy plc.
