Dr Afifah Alwani Ramlee

Senior Lecturer in International Business Management

Dr Afifah Ramlee is a Senior Lecturer in the International Business, Marketing and Tourism department at the Business School. Previously, she served as Senior Lecturer in the International Business department at University Utara Malaysia for almost 6 years. Dr Afifah Ramlee has completed her PhD in Management at Durham Business School, United Kingdom, under the supervision of Professor Mathew Hughes. Her doctoral thesis was focusing on Dynamic Capabilities and development among Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Manufacturing in Malaysia. Dr Afifah’s areas of expertise and interest are primarily firm-level entrepreneurship, learning and innovation, international business as well as firm's dynamic capabilities.

She is also actively involved in PhD supervision as well as the panel and reviewer for the PhD students' annual review and article journal. Two of her PhD students from her previous organisations have successfully completed their PhD thesis. It has been a valuable and a transferable experience for her.
