Dr Haiming Liu

Dr Haiming Liu joined University of Bedfordshire as a lecturer in 2011. She received her PhD on improving the interaction between users and the content-based image retrieval (CBIR) system from three perspectives: user interaction model, interactive interface and users from The Open University (UK) in 2010.

She obtained her MSc in E-Commerce at University of Sunderland (UK) and BSc in Computer Science at University of Science and Technology, Beijing, China.

Research Interests

  • Interactive multimedia information retrieval: interactive content-based information retrieval;
  • Information behaviours: information seeking, information foraging and sense making;
  • User modelling: model user interaction, user profile analysis;
  • Analytics: learning analytics, quantitative and qualitative analytics;
  • Computer science application: user experience design for e-learning, e-business and e-government.
