Gill Treverton

Senior Academic Tutor

Gill Treverton

After 23 years' experience working in the NHS, I decided to pursue a career in teaching and am now Senior Academic Tutor at the University of Bedfordshire.

I have held various positions in the NHS:

  • School nurse practitioner
  • Nurse Specialist with the Youth Offending Service
  • Community Development Officer
  • Team Leader, Team Manager for School Nursing Service, and Operational Manager for 0-19 services
  • Clinical Quality and Practice Development Nurse
  • Advancing Clinical Practice Lead

Teaching and learning have always been important elements throughout my career, and therefore I am delighted to be able to pursue a career in this area.

I have many interests outside of my work, including amateur dramatics, painting, crafts, keeping up with technology and I love spending time in the open air and appreciating the natural world.

I have two beautiful grown up daughters, and live in a cosy old Edwardian terrace, which needs a lot of work so I may be adding DIY to my list of interests!
