Why did you choose the University of Bedfordshire?

Because it is local.

What has been the most challenging task you've accomplished in your degree?

Juggling work placement with assignments and family.

How did the course prepare you for employment?

I was seconded to complete the course so I was already working. However, the course prepared me for my current role as a health visitor.

Why would you recommend this course to others?

The course is not easy but it is incredibly rewarding and if I had a choice I would do it again.

Which practical aspects of the course did you enjoy the most and why?

I enjoyed the placements as they linked theory to practice.

What did you like about the facilities?

Putteridge Bury campus was a joy to be at.

Were the staff members supportive with your studies?

I found all the staff members supportive and positive.

Apart from studying, what else about university did you enjoy?

The hours are kinder than work hours and it was great to have a study day.

Which University services did you use most and why?

I found the 24 hour silent library at the Bedford campus a haven for study.

Any advice for people thinking of studying at University of Bedfordshire?

Choose the right course for you and go for it. Life is too short to dither.

What skills do you think you have learnt as a result of your studies? 

I have learned strategies to cope with procrastination. Also, the joy of learning again and how much easier it is with the world at your fingertips. I have also improved my time management and learned not to put things off until tomorrow. 

Why would you recommend the University of Bedfordshire to others?

The campuses are friendly and the staff are supportive.

What has been your career path since finishing your degree?

I currently work as a health visitor.

Who is your employer and what are your responsibilities?

I work for SEPT (South Essex Partnership Trust) and I am responsible for leading and delivering the Healthy Child Programme.

Did the course contribute to your career path and to landing your current job?

I would not be in my current role if I had not completed my course.

What has been your greatest professional success since finishing your course?

My current role and recently delivering a presentation at a 0-19 award ceremony.

Name some successful/whizzy things you have done since finishing your degree?

I have leased a new car and booked a tattoo.
