Dr Anthony Farrant, Faculty Head of Quality and Practice

Anthony Farrant

Prior to coming to the University of Bedfordshire, I was a research associate at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, University College London, working on the ethical issues involved with telepresence technologies for a European Commission funded project.

I taught bioethics at the University of York, where I also wrote reports for a European Commission funded project exploring the potential of stem cells derived from umbilical cord blood. View Anthony's profile

I am a qualified nurse and midwife and currently practice in both areas to ensure that what is taught in the classroom reflects current practice.

Dr John McCarthy, Head of School Healthcare Practice

John McCarthy

Being a qualified (not currently registered) intensive care nurse with an education subject specialism in human physiology I ensure that what is taught in the classroom reflects current practice.
