  • Asmaa Al-Abdulghani, supervised by Professor Gurch Randhawa & Dr Erica Cook. Asmaa’s PhD thesis examines barriers & facilitators towards organ donation among Arab and non-Arab Muslims in Qatar.
  • Bushra Ayub, supervised by Dr Joseph Adonu & Dr Antigonos Sochos. Bushra's PhD thesis explores the psycho-social and cultural determinants of becoming a street child in Pakistan.
  • Andrea Balint, supervised by Dr Antigonos Sochos & Dr Ashley Bennett. Andrea's PhD thesis investigates the effectiveness of brain spotting in psychological therapy and the role of attachment.
  • Georgina Constantinou, supervised by Prof Gurch Randhawa & Dr Erica Cook. Georgina’s PhD thesis explores the needs of children and their families using a Specialist Paediatric Palliative Care Service.
  • Elisabeth Farmaki, supervised by Dr Antigonos Sochos & Dr Alison Tresidder. Elisabeth's PhD thesis explores whether the recent socio-economic crisis in Greece has characteristics of a social trauma.

  • Abigail Moffat supervised by Dr Erica Cook & Dr Clio Spanou. Abigail’s funded PhD thesis examines how behavioural science can be embedded within local authority public health.
  • Vaneshree Naidoo, supervised by Dr Antigonos Sochos & Professor Andy Guppy. Vaneshree's PhD thesis is looking at work-related stress and burnout experienced by mental health professionals working in IAPT.
  • Vicki Newton, supervised by Dr Jane Williams & Dr Angel Chater. Funded by the British Horse Society, Vicki's thesis explores the impact of horse riding on well-being.
  • Eno Osode, supervised by Dr Erica Cook & Dr Ali Tomlin. Eno’s PhD thesis examines the link between child abuse and metabolic syndrome in middle life.

  • Chris Robus, supervised by Dr Melanie Pitchford & Prof Andy Guppy. Chris' PhD thesis investigates the influence of emoticons, emoji, and emotional text in memory recall.
  • Angelica Stokes, supervised by Dr Alfredo Gaitan & Dr Joseph Adonu. Angelica's PhD thesis explores crime-related perceptions and fear of crime among parents of scouts.

  • Corina Ghermaneanu, supervised by Dr Antigonos Sochos & Ms Isabella McMurray. Corina's MSc by Research investigates how the quality of the couple relationship is linked with the quality of experience during interfertility treatment.
  • Ioana Necsa, supervised by Dr Antigonos Sochos & Dr William Brown. In her MSc by Research dissertation Ioana explores the mental health of illegal immigrants and asylum seekers.
  • Tomasz Piasek, supervised by Dr Sarah Goldsworthy & Dr Lynne Wood. Tomasz is investigating gaming behaviour and mental heath.
  • Sharon Ryan, supervised by Dr Sarah Goldsworthy & Ms Isabella McMurray. Sharon's MRes is investigating the relationship between mental health and academic performance, and transitions for university.
