Professional Lead for Practice Education

I have been a qualified social worker for over twenty years and over the past five years been a Team manager of a team of social workers and Reviewing Officers along with managing an Adult Social Work Academy for newly qualified social workers. I am a qualified Practice educator stage 1& 2 along with being a qualified mentor for trainee Practice Educators.

I took up my position as Professional Lead for Practice Learning in July 2021 and I am keen to utilise my experience to develop the Practice Learning Team as a valuable resource for students, teaching partners and University colleagues alike. Utilising the vast knowledge of the team we aim to continue to keep up to date with current research, professional regulations and standards in order to provide high quality learning experiences for our students.

  • Level 7 NVQ Diploma in Management (QCF)
