BSc Sport and Exercise Science, 2011-2014
MSc Sports Performance, 2014-2015

Studying at Bedfordshire really benefitted my learning, by giving me the opportunity to learn the scientific theory during lectures and seminars, and then put it into practice during practical laboratory based sessions across different sport science topics. The facilities and equipment available in the laboratories also gave us the chance to learn how to conduct a wide range of physiological tests.

Following on from my undergraduate study, I continued my time at Bedfordshire by studying for an MSc in Sports Performance. This opened up further learning opportunities progressing on what I had learned during my BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science degree, as well as learning about different areas of sport science. One of these areas I particularly enjoyed was Strength and Conditioning.

Once leaving the University of Bedfordshire, I went on to use the knowledge and skills from my degrees during an internship at the Peterborough United FC Academy, and currently working part time as a Strength and Conditioning coach with junior county level tennis players. I also volunteer my time to deliver strength and conditioning sessions to the junior squads at Peterborough City Rowing Club.

Other opportunities, which have opened up to me due to my study at Bedfordshire, include working voluntarily for UK Sport alongside the English Institute of Sport during the #DiscoverYourGold talent ID campaign, and working voluntarily with strength and conditioning staff at GB Taekwondo with the GB development squad.
