The application process for new students to apply for their bursary has changed. One of the main changes is that new students no longer receive an invite to apply for a bursary.

All new students should go to the NHS Shared Business Services website where they can read guidance about applying for their 2015/16 bursary and create a Bursary Online Support Account (BOSS)

Watch the video below for more information about creating a BOSS account.

All students are reminded that any assessment is based on the evidence provided to NHS Bursary. The University of Bedfordshire is not involved in the assessment of your award. NHS Bursary is an external organisation and will base their assessment on what you tell them. Therefore, any queries in relation to entitlement must be communicated direct to NHS Bursary

Additional information relating to NHS bursaries is available below.

Important Notice: The rules for payment of NHS bursaries to students who are considering work in the NHS and have accepted a place on an eligible course, have been updated.

Download PDFs below for more information:

Important Notice: On 2 April 2013 the Department of Health announced new arrangements for the Social Work Bursary Scheme to be introduced for 2013 academic year. For further information about this please refer to the NHS Business Services Authority
