Are you applying to study Broadcast Journalism?

Then you may be eligible to apply for a Royal Television Society Bursary Award!

In summary, the Bursary offers:

• £3,000 in cash to support your living expenses; paid in three instalments of £1,000 in the February of each year.
• Free membership of the Royal Television Society and affiliate membership of the Hospital Club.
• One year’s free full membership of the Royal Television Society after graduation.
• An offer of a placement and mentoring in your final year of study.

This bursary is open to: UK ‘Home’ applicants starting specified full time degree courses in 2017; who are new to higher education; and have a household income of less than £25k. You must have a firm choice offer for one of the courses listed in our guidance notes – see the link below.

These are competitive bursaries, decisions on awards will be made by the Royal Television Society.

Deadline for applications 30 June 2017

You must have selected the course as your firm choice, and put your application in by Midday, 30 June 2017.

All Journalism applicants will also automatically be considered for the Steve Hewlett Scholarship.
