Attention: Final Year Students

If you are a full-time undergraduate 'home' student entering your final year of a Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedic or Operating Department practice degree in September 2019, and have lived in Bedfordshire for four years or longer before coming to University, you can apply for a £1,500 bursary.

A limited number of £1,500 awards are available.

To be considered for a bursary, you must have a record of academic excellence; succeeding against adversity or be in need of funding in order to continue your studies.

  • Resident in Bedfordshire since at least 31st August 2015
  • Excellent academic record, i.e. Passed everything in your course to date.
  • Present a strong financial case for support in order to continue to succeed academically
  • Your personal statement is required to spell out the difference the award would make to you
  • Should have applied for all funding available

Documents required include:

  • Student Finance England funding paperwork (18/19 or 19/20)
  • Student Finance England breakdown letter
  • Parents/Sponsor's P60 if under 25 years of age
  • Partner's/Sponsor's P60 if over 25 years of age
  • Child Tax Credit notification if appropriate
  • Evidence of any Benefits received
