The majority of our Sport and Education facilities are based at our Bedford campus.

Sport:

• Physical Education and Sport Science Centre that was used to train athletes for the 2012 Olympics

• Human performance laboratory

• Two fully equipped gyms with movement sensor lighting and a spectator gallery.

• Two high-quality dance studios

• Muscle Cellular and Molecular Biology laboratory - the first of its kind in the UK.

• The town offers a variety of other sporting venues such as the Bedford Athletics Stadium, which has hosted International Athletics meetings

Education:

• We have strong partnerships with schools and colleges - which means we can offer students placements in over 450 schools across the region and, for those studying on both teacher training and education studies courses, the opportunity to undertake a placement in other education settings

• The sport gyms at our Bedford campus - host frequent events and teaching sessions to children from the local schools, which benefits both the children and the trainee physical education teacher

• Primary Centre – providing specialist provision for science, art technology and ICT, as well as extensive resources for Primary education

• Access to the Education Resource Room – home to a host of primary curriculum subject teaching resources
