PRINCE2® Project Management

Introducing PRINCE2® 2017 Update

PRINCE2® is firmly established as the world’s most-practised method for project management, is globally recognized for delivering successful projects.

An authority in best practice in project management, PRINCE2® contributes to the success of a multitude of organisations across a wide range of industry sectors.

PRINCE2® practitioners are equipped with the skills and knowhow to manage projects that range from a business transformation to building sporting venues or hosting a marketing event.Many projects cross cultures – professional, organizational and geographical. PRINCE2® enhances collaboration, notably through clear definition of roles and responsibilities

Mid-2017 marks the arrival of updated PRINCE2® guidance and new Foundation and Practitioner examinations. Together, these form PRINCE2® 2017 and represent the first major update to PRINCE2® since 2009.

The update is characterized by an emphasis on:

  • tailoring PRINCE2® to the needs of organizations and project environments;
  • the principles that underpin PRINCE2®;
  • clarifying the link between the themes and principles;
  • the restructuring of the ‘Themes’ guidance to accommodate specific examples of tailoring;
  • the practical application of guidance, with numerous examples, hints and tips.

What does the update mean for me?

If you are a qualified PRINCE2® Practitioner, you do not need to worry. We do not believe that those with a valid PRINCE2® certification need to take the new examinations. However, we would highly recommend familiarizing yourselves with the revised content.

Entry requirements

Previous PRINCE2® experience is not required for starting at Foundation level.

Those with a valid PRINCE2® Foundation certificate need only attend the Practitioner days of the course.

As part of these courses you will be asked to complete some pre-course study in your own time. We strongly advise you to complete the work as it gives you the best chance of success on the courses. We will send out materials for this around two weeks before the start of the course.

On successful completion of a written exam, delegates receive a PRINCE2® Foundation or Practitioner Certificate.

We are also able to offer a Re-registration of PRINCE2® Practitioner status (requires valid PRINCE2® Practitioner certificate).
