Ali Naqvi

My name is Ali Naqvi and I completed my MBA at the University of Bedfordshire. Currently I am working as Senior Analyst at Asset & Equity Management firm. My experience at the University of Bedfordshire was very rewarding. In my opinion, to experience the actual essence of the University of Bedfordshire, is to look for the issues that matter and then reach inside yourself for the strength, skills, and confidence developed to face them. In every case, class, event, activity, one is asked not only to study leadership, but to demonstrate it. These sets of skills like global intelligence, learning in practice, entrepreneurship, innovation, and hands on experience, gave me the professional confidence to be a good team leader in my work place, where I benefit daily from the experience and knowledge I gained from my studies at the University of Bedfordshire.

Dr Nida Amin

I am currently working as a Scientific Officer in one of the leading pharmaceutical industries of Pakistan, where I am responsible for preparing the design and conduct protocol for pre-clinical studies in support of discovery and development projects, and reviewing regulatory documents and investigative brochures.

I have gained strong research skills in drug discovery science from target identification through to getting a drug to market. Gaining a Master's in Pharmacology from the University of Bedfordshire has also broadened my understanding towards research techniques in drug discovery, including target identification and validation; screening platforms; biotherapeutics, and the importance of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics. I have developed my professional and core research skills from the seminars combined with practical works; discussion forums; journal clubs and critical essay writing, as the course has been developed in consultation with pharmaceutical industry experts. It strengthened my problem solving skills, individuality and resourcefulness. It taught me the value of adaptability and acclimatisation from a truly global student experience. My networking and communication skills have enabled me to compete in this highly artistic world of professionals. International experience has provided me with firsthand knowledge of different cultures and the 21st century business world. Thank you University of Bedfordshire for my brighter 'today'!

Dr Munam Ali Shah

I enrolled in a PhD programme in January 2010 at the University of Bedfordshire. When I started studying, I thought about the various challenges I would face. For example, would the university environment be friendly enough? As an international student, would I get enough technical and moral support to successfully complete my studies? Soon, I realised that a PhD at Bedfordshire was the best course of action. My director of studies, the international office, and the research graduate school were all very helpful. I got whatever I required and whenever I required. Being the research student representative for about 2 years, I had a chance to meet different officials at Bedfordshire and I also attended several important meetings. I must say that everything at the University of Bedfordshire is designed with the successful career of every single student in mind. This was one of the reasons I successfully completed my PhD in June 2013. I not only completed my PhD right on time, but I also finished with a number of conferences and journal publications, for which I have been receiving funds from the University from time to time.

Today, I am serving as as Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science, for COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan. I am supervising numerous MS and PhD students. My number of research publications are more than 100 to date and many more are to be published. I find myself a successful person in life and I strongly believe that this is because of the sound foundation that the University of Bedfordshire has given me.

Sameer Shamsi

The University of Bedfordshire was offering the exact course that was required for my field of work in order to add value to our business. The best things about the university were the teachers, living, facilities and quality of education.

The programme I studied helped me most in managing projects, enhancing the quality of existing projects, and taking calculated risks with the backing of technology. The best thing about the course was the advanced teaching methodologies and the connection with the professors.

Since graduating I have been able to maintain excessive growth for our Tech based ventures, and simultaneously create and develop a few off-the-shelf products and solutions for different industries. Currently, my plan is to take technology to the next level, especially for the academic industry. I believe academia with advanced technology can do wonders for Pakistan.

Muhammad Shafiq

My name is Muhammad Shafiq Ahmed and I completed my LLM international Commercial Law at the University of Bedfordshire in 2010-2011. Currently I am practicing in immigration law, criminal law, cyber crimes, and tax law as Chief Litigation Officer at Mian Law Chambers. I am also a businessman and running my own business successfully.

My experience at the University of Bedfordshire was marvellous. I'm now observing that the University of Bedfordshire gave us the chance to feel the difference between practicing law only in our home country, and practicing at an international level. It broadened my view and made me able to show areas of improvement in our laws here in Pakistan.

I'm also a visiting lecturer in the Law faculty at GC University Faisalabad which is a big university in my city, and I'm following the same pattern of study as we experienced during our LLM at the University of Bedfordshire. My law students feel this difference of teaching as well. I can simply present my Alma Mater with this gratitude: Thanks my teachers! Thanks University of Bedfordshire!

My name is Adnan Zafar Maitla and I am currently working as Manager of Operations in Meezan Bank Ltd. My experience at the University of Bedfordshire was amazing. I gained a lot of confidence and experience while studying away from my homeland. I faced various problems during the start of my degree but the support in the University was superb. I think a person must have some sort of foreign qualification to advance their academic profile and the University of Bedfordshire is the best institute for you to polish your skills.
