IELTS Preparation Courses - Course not currently running

IELTS Preparation Courses can be intensive and sector specific. They prepare participants towards the goal of achieving 7.0 IELTS or higher in all four language skills; reading, writing, speaking and listening.

Their impact can be truly transformative for participants. One example is the recent IELTS preparation course delivered at The Luton & Dunstable Hospital over a 12-week period to 15 members of their existing workforce.

Achieving 7.0 in all skills is sufficient for them to be entitled to register as nurses in the UK. This course received excellent survey feedback from participants, as well as being considered vital to their needs by hospital management.

"I deal with patients every day so communication is very important. This programme helped me improve my communication skills in all areas. I’m still working on my listening – people here speak with different accents! This is definitely a benefit for my future. I may stay on until I retire, and I will definitely be dealing with people, patients and staff alike, so I need to constantly improve my English. I have the potential to do more."
