Student Testimonials

I am an MSc by Research Student and, even as a mature student, I have grown both personally and academically during my time here. The supervision throughout my post-grad study has been excellent and different supervisors have supported me in different areas, matching their skills to help develop mine. You can usually find me in the wet lab analysing insulin or cortisol, my favourite pastime! That's what makes studying at the University of Bedfordshire so special to me, the training and equipment that is available to us. It has certainly helped develop my interest in metabolic health.

Rachael Champion, MSc by Research Student

The sport science laboratory staff at the University have been amazing! They are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and have made my PhD studies go so much more smoothly.

Marsha Brierley, PhD Candidate in Health, Wellbeing & Behaviour Change

I am a PhD candidate and investigating the effects of sedentary behaviour on cardiometabolic health in South Asian adults. The university facilities are excellent especially the PGR office and Sport Science laboratory. The staffs are brilliant and supportive throughout.

Kamalesh Dey, PhD Candidate in Sedentary Behaviour and Cardiometabolic Diseases

My experience as an undergraduate and postgraduate student at the University of Bedfordshire has been fascinating. All university staff I have encountered, have always been so supportive and helpful. This was especially important to me from the beginning as English is not my first language. I have achieved the skills I needed and expanded my knowledge way more than I thought I would. I think that the facilities (i.e. library, silent area for studying, social area, computers, laboratory equipment, gym) available to students made my learning process even more interesting. I particularly enjoyed studying in the Gateway building with a cup of coffee from the coffee shop.

Victoria Morari, MSc by Research Student

I have been with the University since 2013 - first as an MSc student, then as Visiting Lecturer and now as HPL and PHD student. This is as an amazing University, with excellent and caring staff, always available to help and support us in any way they can. The facilities are great, specially the sport science laboratories, where you can find wonderful and supportive lab technicians, always available to help us.
