Learn English in summer
The Summer School is an ideal opportunity for you to sample university life in England and improve your English.
We aim to provide you with a fun, engaging and above all useful course of study in an informal atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the summer school programme is not running in 2021.
Summer School is a three week course running in July (exact dates to be confirmed). Classes are three hours a day from Monday to Friday. There is a social programme of trips and social activities, available at an additional cost, for students to experience life in the UK.

Minimum enrolment age
The University is committed to equal opportunities in its admissions. All applications are considered on individual academic merit, occasionally the University admits students who are under the age of 18.
Class size
Classes will be a maximum of 25 students.
Example of costs of trips
- Brighton - train ticket around £20 return
- Cambridge - bus around £5, punting trip around £15
- London - train ticket around £20 return
English language requirements
You need an intermediate level of English or higher, equivalent to a minimum of 4.5 - 5.5 IELTS score.
You will take a placement test at the beginning of the course to check your level of English. English language qualifications are not required before you arrive.
