In addition to core Law Clinic activities, the student volunteers have also been involved in regular fundraising for worthy causes both locally and nationally – continuing to make a wider impact.

Fundraising

Funds raised from the Law School Challenge have supported the work of both the Bar Pro Bono Unit (BPBU) and LawWorks, enabling them to continue providing crucial legal assistance to individuals and not-for-profit organisations across the UK.

Student volunteers have also raised £90.00 for FeedMK’s Christmas event in 2018. The event turned out to be the biggest yet and they have welcomed 525 people through their doors. FeedMK is a an initiative from CleanSlate Church in Milton Keynes which hosts free community meals three times a year for anyone looking for friendship and community, and are primarily aimed at single parent families, low income families, the homeless and the elderly.Luton Food Bank

The Law Clinic sponsored the afternoon tea event at Luton Foodbank in 2019 – this helped to raise thousands of pounds to help them in their aim to ensure that no one goes hungry.
