Sport Science and Physical Activity
With access to industry-standard, state-of-the-art facilities, including a human performance laboratory, a muscle cellular laboratory and sport and science labs, we provide an exciting and dynamic hands-on teaching and learning experience. Nursing, Midwifery and Health
Our healthcare courses are developed in collaboration with local healthcare providers and health authorities, to ensure the learning you receive meets the benchmark set for care providers. You’ll spend 50% of your time in industry, and we have an on-campus simulation centre to further enhance you clinical skills. Our Nursing and Midwifery courses lead to professional registration and are approved in partnership with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Our Operating Department Practice and Paramedic Science courses are approved in collaboration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Aswell as running our nursing courses in Luton, we run Child Nursing at our Bedford campus and Adult and Mental Health at our Aylesbury campus.

INFORMATION ABOUT BURSARIES, SCHOLARSHIPS AND FEES
Every UK and EU applicant is entitled to a bursary worth £1,500. That’s our gift to you to help financially support you throughout your time at Beds.
This bursary is for all undergraduates with an entry qualification score of fewer than 112 UCAS tariff points, or equivalent, the bursary is worth £1500 over 3 academic years.
Foundation Year Degree
This bursary is for undergraduates undertaking the Foundation Year as part of an integrated four-year degree and is worth £2000 over 4 academic years. Scholarships and bursaries are paid in two equal installments per year if the eligibility criteria are met. There is no application process. The scholarship or bursary will be awarded automatically to those meeting the eligibility criteria.
Every applicant who achieves 112 UCAS points or equivalent will receive a Scholarship worth £2,400. Care Leavers and Sport Scholarships are also available.
This scholarship is for undergraduates with an entry qualification score of 112 UCAS tariff points or more, or equivalent, the scholarship is worth £2400 over 3 academic years..
Sport Scholarships are available for students who have a record of performance in sport and who aspire to train and compete at the highest levels.
Care Leavers Bursary
The Care Leavers Bursary is available to all students under 25 who are currently open to and supported by a local authority leaving care service and fulfil the criteria stated in the Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000; who are studying on a degree programme and paying £9,250 tuition fees.

The University also offers practical support to students who get into financial difficulties.

The full-time undergraduate tuition fee is £9,250. You can apply for a tuition fee and maintenance loan. We offer a generous package of scholarships and bursaries.
The part-time undergraduate tuition fee is charged pro rata to £6,160. A 30-credit unit therefore costs £1,540. 120 credits are required to complete each stage of an undergraduate course. A stage is the equivalent of one year of full time study. Tuition fee loans and maintenance cost loans may be available for part-time study.
