Life peer to speak at University

Baroness Margaret Prosser, a life peer in the House of Lords, is to speak at the University of Bedfordshire next Wednesday (5 November).

The Baroness Prosser OBE will consider the meaning of equality in the UK in the 21st century, drawing on her previous experience as Deputy Chair of the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Former Chair of The Women’s National Commission, Baroness Prosser will discuss the political and social challenges to achieving equality in British society.

Hosted by the University’s Sociology Society, the lecture is open to everyone but specifically targeted at students and professionals with an interest in the subject.

The event starts at 6pm on Wednesday 5 November, in the Ian Dixon Lecture Theatre (A004), Luton campus.
