Sign up for one of the largest Higher Education Exhibition to be held this year and make a positive decision about your future.

That’s the message from the University of Bedfordshire who are expecting over 10,000 students at a two day UCAS Higher Education Exhibition to be held on the 20 and 21 June. Hosted at its Bedford campus, there will be representatives from over 150 higher education institutions available to answer questions from potential students.

David Seaton, Head of Student Recruitment at the University said: “UCAS conventions are the only opportunity students have to explore a variety of post-18 options in one setting.

“They're a chance to get some face time with admissions staff and subject specialists, find out what life's like on and off campus, and discover what else is on offer when your exams are done and dusted - volunteer work, gap year adventures, and the big wide world of work.”

There will be a number of presentations running throughout the two days, including those about student life and finance. In addition there will also be the opportunity to hear subject talks in area as diverse as Sports, Nursing, English, Engineering, Criminology and Medicine.

Other presentations will cover applying to Oxford and Cambridge and the opportunities available with a Law degree. There is even a chance to find out about studying in Scotland. The full seminar programme will be available on arrival.

Schools from across Beds, Bucks, Herts, Nottinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Cambridgeshire, have already signed up to attend the event. However there are still places available to anyone considering higher education as their next step.

“Whether that is joining the army, going to college or onto university, the fair will provide the perfect opportunity for everyone to get a thorough knowledge of their next step,” said David.

In addition to the seminar programme and exhibition, there will be a live music festival, featuring local band the Toffees, Barny Holmes from TV series The Voice UK, as well as music acts from local schools. Here students can get a flavour of student life and meet some current undergraduate students.
