University to increase its renewable energy generation

In the last 12 months the University generated enough renewable electricity to power an average UK home for thirty years. This will increase to 45 years when the solar panels on the new STEM building are installed.

University reduces its carbon emissions for fourth year running

In the last twelve months the University’s carbon emissions have dropped by around 630 tonnes, compared with the previous twelve month period. The reduction in carbon emissions was assissted by an investment in a combined heat and power plant at the University’s Bedford campus.
