Luton Town Football Club is an English football club based since 1905 at Kenilworth Road, Luton.
Affiliated to the Bedfordshire County Football Association, it was founded in 1885, and is nicknamed "the Hatters". The club's nickname reflects Luton's historical connection with the hat making trade.
The University is extremely excited to be in partnership with Luton Town FC which will see the student experience at the forefront of this agreement.
As one of Luton Town FC's proud sponsors, the University of Bedfordshire's sponsorship will primarily help the club with their academy programme, aimed at 8-19 year olds. The academy is a training facility that is in place to train recruited young talent, specifically within local areas.
In addition, the sponsorship money will be used to assist Luton Town FC acquire the best staff and facilities available to improve football at the "grass roots level".
