Microcredit in Rural Ghana - a focus on Volta Region
Project: Microcredit in Rural Ghana - a focus on Volta Region
Description: My main objective of the chosen research topic is to explore about the borrowers’ perceived effectiveness of microloans in the rural communities of Tongu Districts in the Volta Region of Ghana. To address this objective I am currently looking at three main questions in detail: * Why would the micro businesses (mostly sole proprietorships and partnerships) in these communities decide to borrow from microcredit organisations? * What purposes do they use the microloans for? * How do borrowers perceive the training and support provided by the microcredit agencies?
