The IHR PhD School is based in Putteridge Bury

Our PhD School is a lively community comprising of a wealth of interests mainly in applied health research but also in global public health, epidemiology, nursing, midwifery, psychology and related disciplines.

Our aim is to provide a liberal and dynamic environment for PhD Students from around the world to explore their interests and evolve into becoming the next leaders in health research.

Our PhD School and the Institute for Health Research have close links with health and social care organisations in the UK and internationally.

Our PhD students receive exemplary training throughout the course of their studies and they are active members of the Institute for Health Research attending relevant meetings, seminars and discussions.

We are delighted to see the growing number of students who have successfully completed their studies
