Practitioner and transferable skills

We have developed a close relationship with real business, including law firms through our practice vision for our programmes. This compliments the knowledge and skills that you will develop within the course which will enable you to underpin your abilities to be effective within your employment.

Related skills for this area of employment require a good understanding from many view points from the people perspective, since there are many direct and indirect branches of career paths available. We develop new skills and aptitude to enable you to question in a rational and positive manner, enabling a thorough and all-embracing approach to any tasks or problems that you may encounter.

Personal and professional development

Throughout your course, you will work with other students and in some cases with legal firms in our practice-based approach. Our Moot Court environment will enable you to learn in an environment which will enhance your skills. Mooting competitions will also provide the experience against the skills of students from other universities. This will enable you to develop a professional approach to engagement with others providing the skills of leadership and management.

Portfolio experience

You will be able to communicate very effectively as a result of the oral, written, and presentation approaches that take place of your studies. The knowledge and skills that you will develop approaches to be able to evaluate a variety of scenarios and contexts.

Our practice-based approach also provide problem-based and real-life scenarios, as well is holistic approach to understanding various business environments in which you will find yourself.

The guest speakers, additional services such as career planning and CV development will also provide you with a greater insight of how you can develop yourself and build upon your strengths.

Professional recognition and endorsement

In addition to our qualifying award, for some of our programmes, there is also the possibility of registering with National Association of Licensed Paralegals (NALP), an important professional body. This will give you a significant competitive edge in the marketplace.
