Case study - Window Parts

Graphic Designer

"My degree definitely helped me during this internship. My university portfolio was one of the reasons I got this internship. The University taught me how to think as a designer, how to plan, produce artwork from scratch, solve graphic design problems and most importantly communicate effectively.

This internship experience has been very useful and increased my career skills. Working with cameras and creative software on a daily basis has developed my visual and creative thinking. I have also gained valuable work experience in an office environment. I have worked closely with a technical engineer and interacted frequently with management staff in a professional manner.

Employers are always looking for the candidate who will stand out. My internship experience was very successful and as a result I have now been offered a permanent job. My job description has changed and become more complex as I am now responsible for producing advertising and promotional material.

This internship was an excellent way to show and develop my skills, build up a portfolio and get new contacts in industry."
