Building good relationships enables us to keep up to date with relevant resources and information about graduate schemes, employment legislation, current vacancies, careers events and subject specific information. Reporting to the Head of Careers and Employability Service, I manage day to day operations and key teams within the service to ensure that available resources are allocated to support students, academic departments, employers and graduates.
Our recruitment service helps students and graduates into employment by providing an agency style solution to employers.Students who register their details with us will be alerted to vacancies relevant to their job preferences, receive our weekly vacancy bulletin and be offered feedback on their applications and interview process.

As Service Administrator, I manage and co-ordinate the Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey at the University of Bedfordshire. I also manage recruitment accounts for local and national employers, placing students and graduates into full and part time roles as part of the Recruitment Services team.
Student Development and Awards support students to develop their employability skills whilst studying at the University of Bedfordshire. The team support students on over 85 professional practice year (sandwich) undergraduate degrees. We work with students to prepare them for work, sourcing a placement, the recruitment process and during their placement. The team manage other activities designed to aid in developing employability skills, including a suite of credit-bearing optional employability units from Arabic through to Public Speaking!
