Ten thousand students arrive at University for UCAS Convention

The sun shone when over 10,000 young people from schools across Beds, Bucks, Herts, Nottinghamshire and Milton Keynes took part in a two day higher education fair held at the University of Bedfordshire.
Hosted at the University’s Bedford campus (22 and 23 June), there were over 150 stands from higher education institutions with representatives available to answer questions from potential students. Also on hand was the National Careers Service, the army and National Citizen Service.
There was also a seminar programme available for students and teachers to attend; while in the marquee was a live music festival, featuring local band the Toffees. Here students were able to get a flavour of student life and meet some current undergraduate students.
