23 November 2016 - A half day event to explore the impact, mitigation and adaptation to climate change.

Climate change is one of the most urgent issues facing our societies and environments.  Responding to the predicted and unknown future challenges requires us to work together.  Organised by the Sustainability Forum, with support from the Vice Chancellor’s Office and the Centre for Learning Excellence, and with the involvement of private, public and community organisations, the conference aims to deepen our understandings of the global and local threats of climate chaos and the consequences it presents to our transnational communities, economics and our University.

  • Date: Wednesday 23 November 2016
  • Time: 2.00 – 7.00pm
  • Venue: Postgraduate Centre, Luton campus, Luton

This dynamic, inclusive and participatory event will capture distinct perspectives from across disciplines, develop connections and networks, and identify future actions. It will focus on generating ideas, opportunities and tangible ways for collaboration.

  • Panel sessions will explore the regional trends in the East of England, implications for and actual and potential responses from communities, businesses and government.
  • Expert and Policy Panel discussion, chaired by the Vice Chancellor Bill Rammell.
