University staff member, Dr Mohammad Alramahi, delivered a lecture on the UK climate change act with Steve Pattenden at the Rotary Club of Luton Someries.

The lecture, “What has the UK climate change Act 2008 achieved and where next”,  tackled various issues in relation to Climate Change and Sustainability in the UK, including discussion on UK emissions since the Act, The Paris Agreement and its application in the UK (also following BREXIT), and what is needed to change in order to make the Act continually useful.

The club has invited Dr Alramahi to deliver a further lecture in January 2020 on these important issues and how one can contribute positively to sustainability and minimising the effect of climate change.
