Scholarships & Bursaries 2023/24

University of Bedfordshire Bursary and Scholarship 2023/24

We’re investing in your future – up to £2,400* cash during your undergraduate study – as well as offering a safety net of funding should you get into financial difficulties.

For students starting in September 2023

If there’s one thing that concerns most students, it’s the idea of debt and how to cover the cost of university, particularly with the cost of living rises. However, for you it need not be a worry. Here at the University of Bedfordshire, we offer a wide range of scholarships, bursaries and other funding to support your studies - and that’s cash that you don’t need to pay back.

Merit Scholarship

We offer a Merit Scholarship to UK students, worth £2,400* over three academic years, which is awarded to those who can demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, through scoring 120 UCAS tariff points or more.

Bedfordshire Bursary

If you aren’t eligible for the Merit Scholarship, this Bursary is there to help UK students with aspects of student living such as course costs. The Bursary will give you £1,000* over three academic years, or £1,300* if you are taking your course over four academic years (including those with a Foundation Year).

*For UK students undertaking three or four years of undergraduate study. The scholarship or bursary is not payable during a year out from on-campus study, such as the Professional Practice Year. If you are studying PE with QTS, which is a four-year degree, you can receive a fourth-year payment of £300 if you’re eligible for the bursary or £800 if you’re eligible for the scholarship. With the Merit Scholarship, the amount is awarded on the basis of academic merit and UCAS tariff points accumulated prior to entry.
