About the course

This LLM Solicitors’ Practice includes integrated preparation for the Solicitors’ Qualification Examination (SQE) 1 and 2, offering LLB law graduates and aspiring legal professionals the opportunity to gain the legal skills and knowledge required to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales. You also apply your higher-level skills to a range of real-life situations, gaining the qualifying work experience you need at our three community law clinics.

Careers


This course prepares you to become a registered solicitor in England and Wales. It gives you an advanced level of legal knowledge; integrated preparation for SQE 1 and 2; enhanced professional problem-solving skills; and the required work experience to consider a range of career options including private practice in law firms; roles in the public sector (in court or government departments); or as part of an in-house organisational legal team. You can also specialise in family law, corporate and commercial law, and criminal law.
