Lovewell joined the Department of Law and Finance in December 2017 as a lecturer in Accounting and Finance. Prior to joining the University of Bedfordshire, Lovewell taught at the University of Sunderland in London, and INTO City University.
Lovewell has been teaching accounting and business finance on undergraduate, postgraduate and professional accounting courses for over 10 years. He has taught financial accounting, audit and assurance, governance, risk and ethics, and business analysis for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). He has also taught corporate finance, financial and management accounting, taxation, auditing and finance at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Lovewell has also worked as an Assistant Clinic manager for the University of Zambia Veterinary teaching clinic for about 8 years. During this time, he spent 6 months at university teaching hospitals in Japan in their finance departments learning how they manage their finances.
Lovewell has worked as a volunteer treasurer for a not-for-profit organisation in London for over 6 years. He has also worked as an external auditor for a Costa coffee franchise for over two years. Lovewell also worked as a consultant for an accounting firm in London and for an EU sponsored Livestock project in Zambia. He specialises in audit, corporate finance, financial accounting, financial reporting and corporate governance and likes to bring real life examples to the lecture room. He has also supervised student dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
