Ali Mansour

Dr Ali Mansour completed his first degree, BSc (Honours) in Computer Studies, from Sheffield City Polytechnic (now Sheffield Hallam University) and his PhD in Computer Science from Sheffield University.

His PhD research and post-doctoral Wellcome Trust funded work (working on a grant of £100K based on his research) at Sheffield University were in Medical Informatics and Medical Multimedia Intelligent Tutoring Systems.

Ali has extensive commercial training knowledge and experience in professional industry certification programmes, and has been the lead academic and operations person for the Cisco Academy since it was established in 2009. Ali has been acknowledged by Cisco for his successful operation and being the leading instructor of the Cisco Academy in 2018.

Ali is presently the EC-Council Academia Partner contact person as well for any matters related to EC-Council professional certifications.

In addition, Ali has a broad knowledge and experience in team leadership, quality assurance, project management, research supervision, commercial consultancy, and curriculum development covering various fields of Computer Science and Information Technology.

  • Two Innovation Voucher projects – Lead investigator (£6K)
  • The Dean of CATS Pump-priming project – Working on the development of a CPD system for Medical Doctors, GPs and other health workers (£500)
  • TEMPUS CME 1069. UK Project and Team Manager (1996-1997) in partnership with Cracow University of Technology, Poland

Research Supervision

Dr Ali Mansour has successfully completed a number of PhD researchers and is currently a Director of Studies and second supervisor for MPhil/PhD students within his research areas (See Research Interests above).
