Dr Tess Crosbie

Senior Lecturer in Computer Science

Tess CrosbieDr Tess Crosbie joined the University of Bedfordshire as a part time MSc student in 2005. Following her graduation in 2008 she came back as a Visiting Lecturer while studying for her research degree and joined the staff full time in November 2016 after submitting her PhD.

Her thesis is an investigation into the ability of computers to measure aesthetics in literary texts, a topic that fits in with her passion for literature.

Her responsibilities within the department include link coordination roles between the department and partner institutions in Oman and Sri Lanka as well as with students on their Professional Practice Year. She is also coordinating the development of Degree Apprenticeships within the department.

When not reading she tries to fit in as much scuba diving as possible (preferably somewhere warm).
