The School of Psychology works closely with the University of Bedfordshire's Careers and Employability service, Library, Learning Resources and Information, and local employers. We aim to support you into graduate employment and lifelong learning.

Many psychology students are interested in becoming Chartered Psychologists and/or HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologists and we can support them in their journey towards these careers.

The flexibility of a Psychology degree, drawing on both the sciences and humanities, means that many psychology graduates go on to work in a wide range of environments, including but not limited to:

• Education
• Health and social care
• Human Resources
• Prison and probation service
• The police force
• The armed services
• Business
• Marketing
• Advertising

Some of these positions you can go in to without further study.

You may decide that you want to go on to postgraduate studies that would provide you with a deeper knowledge of specific areas of Psychology. We offer an MSc Health Psychology and MSc Forensic Psychology

As a School, we have developed links with external partners and formed an industry panel to enhance our placement opportunities alongside what we can offer our graduates in terms of employment opportunities. These partners include psychology fields as well as those further afield.
