2019 - January

The Partnership for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH) event in December in New Delhi brought together 1200 partners dedicated to the Every Woman Every Child (EWEC) movement and the achievement of the UN Secretary General’s Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents’ Health (Global Strategy).

The 2018 Forum hosted by the Government of India focused on improving multi-sectoral action for results, sharing country solutions and capturing the best practices and knowledge within and among the health sector and related sectors. England's Teenage Pregnancy Strategy was highlighted as an example of multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder action in the context of large scale adolescent health programmes.

Teenage Pregnancy and Young Parenthood provides a comprehensive, unparalleled insight into the UK Government’s highly successful Teenage Pregnancy Strategy (TPS) for England which reduced the under-18 pregnancy rate by well over 50%, and considers how the lessons from this policy can be applied internationally.
