Quiet Welcome Week
The University of Bedfordshire is proud of its inclusive educational practices and transformative support we offer to our neurodiverse students.
Our Welcome Week, the start of your academic journey with us, is no different! As well as an opportunity to meet with Health and Wellbeing Advisors and other support at the University before term starts, you will also have an opportunity to explore the campus and your university surroundings and meet people from your academic faculty. We will contact you with more details shortly.
During Welcome Week, starting on the 15th September, we will have a quiet, sensory room available between 9-10am every day as a place where you can relax, and engage with the lights, fidget toys, jigsaws and other items in the space.
We will also have therapy dogs on campus in Luton and Bedford, as well as an opportunity to undertake a quiet, guided tour of our library. You will also have the chance to meet with other students and to find out more about the support available and events and activities we offer to our students.
We look forward to welcoming you to the University. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact us at either disability@beds.ac.uk or admissions@beds.ac.uk as we’re here to help.
