University of Bedfordshire Governors

The Board of Governors is responsible for overseeing the University's activities, determining its future direction, ensuring its solvency and the effective use of its resources.

It conducts its affairs in an open and transparent manner and makes its agendas available for viewing.  As well as taking the final decisions on all matters of fundamental concern to the University, the Board of Governors has ultimate responsibility for ensuring that it complies with all its legal and regulatory obligations.

It has adopted a statement of primary responsibilities

Membership of the Board of Governors

The Board of Governors consists of:

  • (a) not less than twelve and not more than twenty-four members
  • (b) the Vice Chancellor, unless he or she chooses not to be a member
