Acting Portfolio Lead - Undergraduate Strategy and Management

Patricia Wilson

In 2009 I joined the University as a Visiting Lecturer at the time of the first February delivery of the BA (Hons) Business Management. I am a full-time Senior Tutor, I am also Acting Portfolio Lead for the Undergraduate courses in the department of Strategy and Management, which are delivered in multiple locations at our local campuses, study centres and overseas partners.

I have delivered units at all undergraduate levels including a specialist unit in Entrepreneurship and Leadership (a particular favourite of mine) and support students in final year Dissertation supervision.

I have supported projects as part of the Innovation and Enterprise Service department, delivering consultancy to small business as part of the Innovation Bridge initiative.

I have worked in business for over 40 years and have experience in corporate, public, and privately owned small business. In 2003 I founded a small award-winning consultancy practice working with start-ups and small business owners and teams improving operational performance. Start-up support and career transition from corporate positions to starting a venture has been a key service offering.

I am known for a calm approach which is valued by business owners who are skilled in their area of expertise but lacking in business knowledge or training.
