Research Interests

My scholarly interests range widely, from cultural frameworks and cultural diversities including differences, such as communication styles, motivations and different social conventions and values to communication per se and the role of language and culture in the communication process.

My work in the classroom has provided me with the inspiration as well as a PhD research which is at final stages of data collection. In this project, I research diverse aspects of the performance of groups formed by members of group-oriented societies who migrate to areas where societies have more individualistic approach in terms of acculturation.

Another area I am interested in is motivation change in international teams and its influence on their performance with a special attention paid to schima and pragmatic transfer. In addition, I hope to carry my interests in concepts of face and rapport management and their effect on interpersonal relations into the classroom.
