Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing

Hello, my name is Joseph and I did my nurse training at the University of Essex. For post-graduate studies, I went to the University of East Anglia where I completed an MSc in Clinical Research.

I started my academic career at Huddersfield University where I taught on the BSc and MSc nursing programmes before joining the University of Bedfordshire in June 2022.

I spent most of my clinical career in Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire. In this career, I have worked in psychiatric intensive care units (PICUs), recovery wards, community mental health teams (CMHTs) and Crisis Services mainly with psychiatric liaison.

I have held different roles in clinical practice including ward manager, community psychiatric nurse (CPN) and lead practitioner.
