Psychological Well-Being and Mental Health

Significant community-based research has been undertaken within this group, as staff work on the design, implementation, and evaluation of mental health services for the homeless, the evaluation of community projects supporting vulnerable families, the role of attachment to care professionals in mental health interventions, the value of peer coaching in resilience building, and the use of acupuncture in reducing psychological distress.

Staff have been involved in collaborations with colleagues from the University of Leicester, Open University, and University of Hertfordshire and have attracted significant funding from the Big Lottery Fund and local organisations.
